Policy Advocacy

PROJECTING LARGE CONSUMER PERSPECTIVE IN ENERGY AND CLIMATE DISCOURSE

IGUA advocates with provincial and federal governments on policy issues that impact reliable access to natural gas at a competitive price. Our advocacy is supported by expert research finds.

Our policy interventions aim to protect the competitiveness of the large industry and to keep the landed cost of natural gas reasonable for members. Policy makers are more receptive to collective recommendations than individual company asks. We amplify and enhances your advocacy efforts.

Testimonials

Industrial Gas Users Association | l’Association Des Consommateurs Industriels De Gaz

“With the roll-out of the Ontario Cap and Trade program (now defunct), IGUA was quick to arrange a customer meeting with the Minister of Environment Climate Change and his staff. I felt the round table discussion was constructive, ultimately resulting in favourable amendments.”
